Privacy Policy

MAJ Medias Pvt. Ltd. (“MAJ Medias”, “we”, “our”) values the privacy of brands, agencies and individuals who use the platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, business name, work email, phone number, country, billing address and GST/VAT identifiers you provide when signing up.
  • Identity & compliance documents: company registration certificates, PAN, GST, beneficial ownership disclosures and government-issued IDs uploaded for verification.
  • Order and content data: article drafts, brand assets, target outlets, anchor URLs, scheduling preferences and any internal notes you add.
  • Payment metadata: last four digits of card numbers, payment method type, transaction IDs and invoice history. We never store full card numbers, CVVs or UPI credentials — these are handled by our PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processors.
  • Usage telemetry: device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, feature interactions, and diagnostic logs used to improve reliability and detect fraud.

2. How we use your information

  • To operate the platform: verify identity, process orders, dispatch articles to publishers, settle payouts and provide customer support.
  • To comply with law: tax filings, anti-money-laundering checks, sanctions screening and responding to lawful requests from regulators and law-enforcement agencies.
  • To safeguard the marketplace: detect coordinated abuse, prohibited industries, plagiarism and reputation-harming content.
  • To improve our product: aggregate analytics, A/B testing and feature research. Personally identifiable data is excluded from analytical datasets wherever possible.

3. Sharing & disclosure

  • Publisher partners: only the metadata required to fulfil your placement (article body, byline, anchor URLs and contact for editorial follow-up).
  • Payment processors: Razorpay, Stripe and authorised banks for collection, settlement, refunds and reconciliations.
  • Sub-processors: cloud infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare), email delivery, observability and CRM tools — all bound by data-processing agreements.
  • Legal & safety: where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of MAJ Medias, our users or the public.
  • We do not sell your personal information. We do not share content of unpublished drafts with third parties beyond the chosen publisher.

4. Security

  • Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Production secrets are stored in hardware-backed vaults with short-lived access tokens.
  • We operate least-privilege access controls, mandatory 2FA for all employees, quarterly access reviews and continuous security monitoring.
  • Annual SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS audits. Penetration tests are conducted by independent third parties at least twice a year.
  • Suspected security incidents are triaged within 1 hour and disclosed to affected users within 72 hours where there is a meaningful risk of harm.

5. Your rights

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention obligations (typically 7 years for invoices and tax records).
  • Portability — receive a machine-readable export of your data.
  • Restriction & objection — limit certain processing, including marketing communications.
  • Withdraw consent — without affecting the lawfulness of past processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India or your local supervisory authority.
  • Requests can be raised at privacy@majmedias.com and will be addressed within 30 days.

6. International transfers

  • Some of our sub-processors operate outside India. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or your explicit consent.

7. Retention

  • Billing and tax records: 7 years from the end of the customer relationship (in line with applicable tax law).
  • Invoices & tax records: 7 years (Income Tax Act / GST Act).
  • Published article metadata: indefinitely, as the placements are public record.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or 24 months of inactivity, whichever is sooner.
